Highlights of the Week
Meme of the Week:

Health Hacks I’m Testing: a few Digital Detox hacks
Digital Detox Re-do
Well, after moving to rural NJ from Miami, it was easy to digital detox.
Now, with jobs changing, taking on new clients & consulting gigs, I have like 7 Gmail inboxes and multiple people to get back to.
My IG time is still down to 15 mins per day or less!
But now I compulsively open my Gmail.
Time to purchase OneSec premium and block Gmail.
News Re-do
As Trump gets back in the campaign, and Ukraine continues, I find myself reading news more. Time to order a physical newspaper and de-digital it.
Morning Wakeups
While my daily 8AM stretch+abs has not been well attended, it has served as alarm clock of sorts for me. I recommend establishing a habit where someone else is expecting you to do something, if you need accountability
For example, if you want to practice public speaking skills, but can’t seem to get around to it, start a class weekly on your subject matter expertise.
What I’m Listening To: Why Are WE The Pinnacles of Evolution, and Not Them?

The video is incredibly narrated and super super interesting - science-based but followable!
Octopi have 3 hearts
Octopi have 8 brains, 1 in each tentacle that can operate independently of the central brain. If you cut off a tentacle, it will still make decisions
Octopi have 4 layers of chromatically sensitive cells in their skin which detect color, light, texture, etc., EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE COLORBLIND
Cephalopods have been around for 100-250 million years, way before fish, dinosaurs and of course, humans
Octopi are one of few animals to play in leisure time
Octopi recognize human faces and show aggression or favor to individuals
Stuck on IG? One.sec app cut my use from 45min→15min day. (no affiliate)
What I’m Reading: Seven Plays by Bernard Shaw
Shaw, an Irish playwright, author and critic who lived from ~1854-1950, absolutely lambasts the common ‘private citizen’ who goes home at night, enjoys time with their family, and pretends they have no duty to civic society or to other people.
In today’s US, too many of us watch news & complain w/o DOING ANYTHING.
Each play talks about a subject taboo at the time:
Prostitution - Ms. Warren’s Profession
Marriage - The Philanderer, Candida
Instead of presenting shiny plays which were sexually alluring, he presented women and men as human beings with social problems. He presented prostitution as an issue with society which gave no good options to poor women, not as a moral failing of the woman herself.
He made the audience think, instead of just feel nice.
Like comparing The Matrix with Ice Age.
Quote(s) I’m Loving:
[The ophthalmologist] tested my eyesight one evening, and informed me that it was quite uninteresting to him because it was normal. [He said]…normal sight conferred the power of seeing things accurately, and being enjoyed by only about ten per cent of the population, the remaining ninety per cent being abnormal. I immediately perceived the explanation of my want of success in fiction. My mind’s eye, like my body’s, was “normal”: it saw things differently than other people’s eyes, and saw them better.
…This revelation produced a considerable effect on me

Feel like you know exactly what to do to be “on it” - and feel your best - but need accountability?
That’s where I come in. My clients already know what to do, typically, but appreciate having someone:
track their biometric data
keep them accountable
give them action items
supporting them with encouragement
Deep Dive - Making It
A lot of what you see on TV, internet and media is pay-to-play. i.e., not organic but someone paid for their slot.
I am sharing this to give you hope for your dream, side hustle or passion.
A lot of Influencers, with a capital I, got there due to scrappy marketing.
That is just the nature of anything public - eyeballs can and are monetized.
I am working for a client who had a really bad legal result when you Googled them.
This was preventing them from getting business.
We hired someone in Pakistan to de-rank the article:
submit a press release
publish 5 articles as paid guest posts on news sites (kinda like Forbes)
create social accounts
fix the SEO on their website to increase its ranking
In days, it was GONE. Cost about $500 total.
P.S. I am always astounded by the quality of the work of the people I hire overseas. Reply if you need support with that.
Thanks for reading.
Your feedback really helps! This takes me an hour to put together^^
