Happy Friday, fitfam.

Maybe because my parents were poor immigrants, or maybe because I lived it up in my 20's, but financial ambiguity or instability really stresses me out.

This week, I made a very specific financial plan to reach my savings goals. Template linked below.

Ambiguity really crushes any goal...!

Green Pill Stories - Unacceptable Conversations

So, I spoke with a therapist out in Salt Lake for a podcast last month, Amanda Butler.

She was raised in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) community.

Commonly known as Mormons, Amanda shared that women in her family often complain about their husbands without actually taking action.

As if the complaining itself was cathartic, she seemed to imply that such conversations (wife addressing husband) were just not really common or acceptable as a practice in the community.

Often, the implicit, hidden, shameful are the biggest unlocks for emotional health..

It all started when I asked a new personal training client whether she wanted to me to "run her life". 3 months later, we trained 3x a week, but she also texted me daily, we went to Whole Foods together, I tracked all her sleep, made her "eat this/not that" take out menus, and she lost 35 lbs, went to therapy and started feeling confident.

Deep Dive - Skin Care

I went to a dermatology spa this week. I asked them "If I had unlimited money for a base, and I'm 30 years old, what could I do now to prevent or reverse skin aging?"

  • Botox, $500 per, every 4 months. Must do repeatedly to maintain benefit.

  • Microneedling w Plasma - $650 per, 4x in first month or two, then certain cadence.

  • Sunscreen - reapply every 2hsr right on top of your existing sunscreen, or 1 hour if sweat or less than certain SPF. Wash face if sweat & reapply.

  • Retinal creams (and others, didn't dive in here)
